Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing has met with his counterparts from Bhutan, Denmark, Chile, Cambodia, Turkey and Tunisia on the sidelines of the 59th UN General Assembly and exchanged views with them on wide-ranging issues of mutual concern.

Their discussions covered bilateral ties, the reform of the United Nations and the international financial system, regional cooperation in Asia and the fight against poverty and terrorism.

During his talks with Bhutanese Foreign Minister Lyonpo Khandu Wangchuk, Li Zhaoxing reiterated China's policy of good neighborliness with countries which share borders with China and expressed China's readiness to boost regional cooperation.

The Chinese foreign minister also attended a political dialogue with his counterparts in the Rio Group, stating China's willingness to substantiate this bilateral cooperation on an equal footing and in a pragmatic manner.

The foreign ministers of the 19 Rio Group member countries expressed their readiness to promote bilateral friendly ties and contribute to South-South cooperation.
