55th Anniversary of Sino-Romanian Diplomatic Ties Marked

Romanian ambassador to China Viorel Isticioaia Budura hosted a reception in Beijing Wednesday to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Romania diplomatic ties.

More than 200 people from China and Romania were present at the reception. This includes Gu Xiulian, vice chairwoman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress, Zhang Yesui, Chinese vice foreign minister, Cai Wu, deputy head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, as well as officials with the Romanian Embassy in Beijing.

China established diplomatic relations with Romania on October 5th, 1949.
