China, Azerbaijan to Boost Bilateral Ties

Azerbaijan President Geider Aliyev has met with visiting Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing to exchange views on bilateral ties and cooperation Sunday.

Aliyev hailed the sound development of relationship between Azerbaijan and China and persistent mutual support to each other in international affairs and reiterated his country's adherence to one China policy, China Radio International reported.

Aliyes also encouraged more Chinese companies to invest in his country and boost economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.

Li Zhaoxing appreciated Azerbaijan for its stance on Taiwan question and pledged to put bilateral exchange and cooperation, including politics, economy and human culture, to a new height.

On the same day, Li Zhaoxing also held separate talks with Azerbaijan Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and Economic Development Minister Farhad Aliyev.
