China, Slovenia to Further Bilateral Cooperation

China and Slovenia both voiced their hope for further enhancing bilateral cooperation in all spheres on Wednesday.

While meeting with Janez Susnik, chairman of the National Council of the Slovenian assembly, Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing underscored that the two sides will beef up their cooperation on the basis of mutual respect, mutual benefit, equality and non-interference in each other's internal affairs.

The Slovenian government values its relations with China and will continue to implement its one-China policy, said Susnik.

Susnik also met Wang Zhongyu, vice-chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, in Beijing Wednesday.

Susnik said that the National Council of the Slovenian assembly was willing to increase mutual understanding, and enhance exchanges and cooperation with the CPPCC National Committee of China so as to press ahead with the continuous growth of bilateral relations between the two countries.

Susnik and other Slovenian guests arrived in Beijing Tuesday to begin their six-day China tour at the invitation of the CPPCC National Committee.
