China to Further Ties with Netherlands

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao said China attaches great importance to developing relations with the Netherlands.

He made the remarks while holding talks with Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende during the seventh China-EU annual summit meeting.

Wen Jiabao said China and the Netherlands currently enjoy a very good relationship and that the two countries have good cooperation in the sectors of agriculture, science and technology. The volume of bilateral trade is also growing fast.

For his part Balkenende spoke highly of China's great economic achievements and the positive impact on the economy of China's macro-economic policies.
