Search and rescue team of NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) found the wreckage of an Afghan airliner Saturday that went missing three days ago, according to a statement release.

"ISAF-Dutch AH-64 Apache helicopters that were searching for the missing Kam Air Boeing 737 have found the wreckage at 1:37 PM," the statement said. "The wreckage was spotted at in the Chaperi Ghar area, approximately 30 kms southeast of Kabul."

The tail of the aircraft was spotted along with other debris. The crash site is 3,300 meters above sea level.

ISAF had airlifted specialist mountain rescue teams into the site to secure the area.

The passenger jet belonging to a private company of Kam Air left the western city of Herat for the Afghan capital disappeared from radar screens while trying to land at Kabul airport in a snowstorm.

None of the 104 people on board including eight crew has survived the tragic incident, Zahir Azimi, Afghan Defense Ministry spokesman claimed on the phone.
