French Film Exhibition to Open

As part of Frech Cultural Year activities, 41 French films will be shown in Beijing during the French Film Exhibition.

This is the largest French film exhibition since the founding of the People's Republic of China.

The films exhibited this time included the works produced during the period from 1895 to 2003 by 25 directors, reflecting various styles and the development of French film.

People can see the first film in the world "Train Entering a Station" by Lumiere Brothers during the exhibition. And the work of "Mother of New Wave" in France, Agnes Varda, "Jacquot de Nantes" in 1991 will be shown on the opening ceremony.

The festival will last from March 4 to 30.
