China Calls for Early Resumption of Six-Party Talks

Chinese Ambassador on Korean Peninsula Affairs Ning Fukui called for "concerned parties" to make efforts to restart and make "substantial progress" in the six-party talks on the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue soon.  

Ning made the remarks during meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday with Russian Ambassador to China Igor A. Rogachev, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to China Kim Ha-joong, and Japanese Ambassador to China Koreshige Anami. Ning briefed the ambassadors on China's stance on the current situation.
