Japan to Cut 10% of Credit to China

Japan has decided to cut credit to China by 10 percent in the 2004 fiscal year.

The Nikkei Newspaper says the amount of credit to China in the fiscal year will be fixed by the end of this March.

The ruling party had advocated cutting credit by more, but the government is concerned that it will further affect Japan-China relations.

The Japanese government has planned to stop its credit to China at the end of the 2008 fiscal year.
