Nepalese King Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev met with visiting Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing Thursday at the Narayanhiti Royal Palace in Katmandu.  

Prior to the meeting, Li held talks with Nepalese Foreign Minister Ramesh Nath Pandey, saying he believes his visit will further exchanges and understanding between the two countries.

Pandey said Li's visit will promote bilateral friendly relations, which are conducive to the development of economic and trade ties.

Li was invited by Nepalese foreign minister to visit Nepal from Thursday to Friday.
