Jordanian, Chinese Officials Meet on Bilateral Ties

Jordan's acting Parliament Speaker Mamdouh Abbadi met with a visiting delegation of the top Chinese political advisory body in Amman Thursday.

The two sides stressed the depth of the Chinese-Jordanian ties and the necessity of increasing trade exchange between the two countries and the Chinese investment in Jordan.

Abbadi noted that Jordan has removed all barriers in attracting foreign investments.

Chen Kuiyuan, vice chair of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), said for his part that China hails Jordan's role to achieve just and comprehensive peace in the region.

Chen and his delegation arrived here Wednesday on a four-day goodwill visit.
