Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas arrived in Beijing Tuesday afternoon on a three-day visit.  

It is Abbas' first China trip since he succeeded Yasser Arafat to be the president of the Palestinian National Authority.

During his stay, President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao are scheduled to confer with him for discussion on ways to enhance the bilateral relations.
