Tonga Vows to Stick to One-China Policy

State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan met with Tonga Crown Prince Tupouto'a in Beijing Thursday.  

Tang stressed that the Chinese government attached importance to the China-Tonga ties and expressed his appreciation of Tonga's adherence to the one-China policy.

 

China will join hands with Tonga to promote the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries, Tang said.

 

Tupouto'a said that one of the key areas of Tonga's foreign policy is to develop relations with China. He said that Tonga will continue to stick to one-China policy and further develop the bilateral friendly ties on the basis.
