China, East Timor to Enhance Justice Cooperation

China is ready to enhance cooperation in the fields of law and justice with East Timor, State Councilor Zhou Yongkang said in Beijing Thursday.

During a meeting with Minister for Justice of East Timor Domingos Maria Sarmento and his party, Zhou said China is willing to work with East Timor to further beef up law and justice cooperation, in an effort to promote the existing friendly, bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Sarmento said East Timor is ready to contribute in his part to the enhancement of cooperation with China in various fields, including law and justice spheres.

Sarmento arrived in Beijing Tuesday on a six-day visit to China at the invitation of the Ministry of Justice.
