Gu Xiulian, vice chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), met in Beijing Monday with a delegation from the National Assembly of Bulgaria led by Nikolay Svinarov.

Gu highlighted the stable development of China-Bulgaria relations, saying that the two countries have recently enhanced exchanges in culture, education, technology and justice.

Gu expressed her hope that the two countries could further cooperation to promote the bilateral friendship.

Svinarov said Bulgaria will work closely with China for better bilateral relations.
