Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing met in Beijing Tuesday with Thai Deputy Prime Minister Surakiat Sathirathai and they had a deep exchange of views on Sino-Thai relations and the proposed United Nations reforms.

Both Li and Surakiat vowed to further promote bilateral relations and make joint efforts to enhance cooperation on major international issues, including UN reforms and bird flu prevention and control.

The Thai deputy prime minister is in China for a four-day visit at the invitation of the Chinese government.
