French Tourism Operators Expect In-depth Visits from Chinese

French tourism operators said in Beijing Tuesday that they hope Chinese people can stay longer in France, as China's economy develops and its residents' consumption power increases.

France is the world's biggest tourism destination, with foreign visitors reaching 75 million every year.

"I hope Chinese tourists can feel the elegance and enthusiasm of France, as well as French cuisine and art," said Jean-Michel Harzic, regional director of the French Tourism Board (FTB).

The FTB will try to diversify its products, take active measures to develop high quality products and attract business travelers, he said. The bilateral cultural and trade exchanges have provided a solid foundation for the goal.
