China to Attend Conference on East Asian Development
A Chinese delegation will attend the Co-ministerial Conference on Development Initiatives in East Asia, which is to be held in Tokyo, Japan, from August 11 to 12.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Kong Quan revealed this when answering a related question in Beijing Thursday.

Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi will head the delegation and Vice-Minister of Finance Jin Liqun will also be present, he said.

Kong said China has always attached great importance to issues on development and taken an active part in cooperation between the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the three East Asian countries of China, Japan and the Republic of Korea.
