Award Inspired by Beauty
Jewellery designer Jiang Baoluo has won one of the Gold Virtuosi International Jewellery Design Awards. Jiang, from Shanghai Laomiao Gold Co Ltd, said he had been inspired in his designs by the beauty of nature and the birth of new life in spring.

His creations include a necklace and bracelet. Made of gold, they are avant-garde and extremely attractive with their feminine lines and attention to detail.

Another designer, Sun Qian from Yunnan Province, also won one of the awards.

The competition is conducted by the World Gold Council and aims to promote the design and crafting of gold jewellery. The council also hopes to encourage designers to be more creative in their craft.

The competition attracted 1,700 designers from 52 countries and regions. A total of 34 entries were awarded prizes and will be exhibited in Shanghai soon.
