China Tibetan Culture Week Ends in Brussels
The China Tibetan Culture Week, organized by China International Culture Association and the Foreign Cultural Exchange Association of the Tibet Autonomous Region, ended with success Sunday in Brussels.

The culture week, which was officially opened on Monday, includes a nine-day-long photo and Thangka art exhibition, song and dance performances, exchange of expertise between Tibetologists, Living Buddha and scholars in Belgium, as well as films with Tibetan themes.

Some 2,000 people including dignitaries here went to see the photo and Thangka art exhibition and the performances. Many of them were deeply impressed by the unique features of the culture on the Roof of the World.

The culture week provided a rare opportunity to help people get a comprehensive and objective picture of what has been happening in Tibet.

During their stay here, the four Tibetologists and Living Buddha answered questions from the European Parliamentarians and some local scholars about social changes, economic reforms, environment protection and religious freedom in Tibet.

The culture week is the first of its kind held in Europe. The Chinese delegation will leave here for Canada on Monday to hold another culture week with similar contents in North America in the coming weeks.
