Russian media has welcomed China's release of a report outlining China's national defense policies and progress.
Quoting from the report, entitled "China's National Defense in 2002", Itar-Tass published an article confirming what China has done in the fight against international terrorism.
The article pointed out that in the fight against terrorism, China believes solid evidence must be produced before any measures are taken, and resolutions should comply with international standards.
The biennial paper was issued by the Information Office of China's State Council.
