Vice-Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Song Jian met in Beijing Friday with a Japanese delegation headed by Sakurada Yukihisa, representing the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) China Office.
Song is also president of the China-Japan Friendship Association.
The delegation arrived in Beijing on Dec. 12 at the invitation of the All-China Youth Federation (ACYF) and will attend a seminar on the China-Japan Friendship Program, which is jointly sponsored by the ACYF and the JICA.
The JICA provides economic and technical aid to other countries by offering free or low-interest funds and has played a positive role in promoting Sino-Japanese friendship.
