Foreign Minister Meets Hungarian Guest
China is willing to further cooperation with Hungary on the basis of mutual-respect, equality and mutual-benefit and non-interference in internal affairs, said Chinese Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan in Beijing Thursday.

In a meeting with Andras Barsony, political secretary of state of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tang said the people of the two countries have enjoyed long-term friendship and ties between China and Hungary have developed smoothly.

The two sides had a candid and in-depth exchange of views on bilateral ties.

Barsony said Hungary attaches great importance to China's role in international affairs and is willing to enhance cooperation with China in various fields.

He said that the Hungarian government would adhere to the "one-China" policy and oppose separatist activities of the Taiwan authorities.

Barsony arrived in Beijing on Dec. 15 as guest of Vice-Foreign Minister Liu Guchang.
