The presidential election Thursday in the Republic of Korea (ROK) is a domestic issue of the ROK, and China believes China-ROK relations are sure to further develop no matter who is elected, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said.

Spokesman Liu Jianchao made the remark in response to a question at a regular press conference in Beijing Thursday.
