A special envoy of the Chinese government will attend the handover ceremony of presidential power of Brazil, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao said in Beijing Thursday.
Zhang Chunxian, Chinese minister of communications, will be present at the ceremony to be held in Brasilia on Jan. 1 of 2003 at the invitation of the government of the Federative Republic of Brazil.
