Foreign Law Firms Allowed to Open More Offices in China
Baker and McKenzie International Law Firm, a world famous law firm, opened a representative office in Shanghai Thursday, its second in China's mainland.

The law firm is one of 11 foreign law firms that won approval from China's Ministry of Justice last December to open two or more representative offices.

Previously, foreign law firms were only permitted to open one agency.

Around 150 overseas law firms are offering legal services in China, mostly confined to consulting services at present.
