Li Changchun, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) Central Committee, met with a delegation from the Rally of Togolese People headed by a member of its Political Bureau, Komikpime Bamnante.
Li said China and Togo had maintained their momentum of friendly cooperation since the establishment of diplomatic ties in1972. He thanked the Togolese side for adhering to the one-China policy.
Li said the CPC valued its friendly relations with the Rally of Togolese People and was ready to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation.
Bamnante said Togo would always adhere to the one-China policy. He thanked China for its support for Togo over the years.
