More Than 500 Foreign Journalists to Cover NPC, CPPCC Sessions
More than 500 foreign correspondents have registered for the coverage of the imminent plenary sessions of China's top legislature and advisory body, said an official at the two sessions press center in Beijing on Saturday.

To date, a total of over 3,000 journalists have applied for the coverage of the sessions, setting a historical record in term of the number of reporters involved for the events.

The First Session of the 10th National People's Congress (NPC) is due to open on March 5, while the First Session of the 10th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) is scheduled to start as of March 3.

More than 2,500 Chinese and foreign journalists came to cover last year's annual NPC and CPPCC National Committee sessions.
