China Stresses EU Commission's Adherence to One-China Principle
China hopes the Commission of the European Union will abide by the "one-China" principle in practice, Foreign Ministry spokesman Kong Quan said in Beijing Tuesday.

Kong made the remark when asked to comment on the EU Commission setting up an economic and trade office in Taiwan recently.

Kong said China hoped the EU Commission would strictly keep its promise that the office would not engage in any political and diplomatic activities, and would not develop any form of official relations with Taiwan.
