Earthquake Kills 231 in Algeria
The death toll of the strong earthquake that hit Algeria on Wednesday night has risen to at least 231, according to the state ratio station.

In addition, as many as 1,620 people have been injured in the quake, which measured 6.7 on the Richter scale.

The quake occurred at 7:44 p.m. local time (18:44 GMT), with the epicenter being 70 kilometers east of the capital city of Algies and 10 kilometers beneath ground.
