Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe arrived in Beijing Sunday afternoon, continuing his China visit.

Wickremesinghe paid this working visit to China at the invitation of Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao. The prime minister will meet Chinese leaders and exchange views on bilateral relations and issues of common concern.

Wickremesinghe arrived on Saturday at Xiamen, a coastal city in southeastern China, beginning a five-day tour of China. It is the first visit to China by a Sri Lankan prime minister in the last 14 years.
