Chinese DM Meets Mozambique Guests

Chinese Defense Minister Cao Gangchuan met in Beijing Thursday with Minister of Veterans Affairs of Mozambique Antonio Hama Thay and his party.

Cao, also vice-chairman of China's Central Military Commission and a state councilor, said the two sides had cooperated effectively in various fields with profound friendship.

He said exchanges of high-level visits enhanced mutual understanding and trust.

China's armed forces were willing to contribute to further friendly cooperation.

He also appreciated the Mozambique government's adherence to the one-China principle and support to China on the human rights issue.

Hama Thay said Mozambique valued cooperation with China and Mozambique's people were grateful for the long-term support from China.

He said Mozambique would unswervingly support China's reunification.
