China to Enrich Cooperation with Cambodia

China is willing to enrich the cooperation with Cambodia, said Chief of General Staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Liang Guanglie in Beijing Wednesday.

Liang, also a member of the Central Military Commission, made the remarks in a meeting with Meas Sophea, deputy commander-in-chief and army commander of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, and his delegation.

Liang said, with the joint efforts of the two countries, the China-Cambodia friendship had stood the tests of time and history.

China attached great importance to the friendly cooperation with Cambodia, and was willing to support and help each other in state and military construction of the two countries, Liang said.

Liang hoped the two sides would maintain close exchanges and constantly enrich their cooperation, so as to move the friendly ties between the two countries and two armies to a new high.

Meas Sophea extended his thanks for China's assistance over a long period of time.

He believed his visit will promote the existing friendship between the two armies, and he hoped to further strengthen the exchanges and cooperation with China.

He reiterated Cambodia's support of the one-China policy.
