Premier Wen Meets Former Canadian PM

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao told former Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien in Beijing Monday that China hopes more Canadian entrepreneurs would come to China and participate in the country's economic development.

Premier Wen spoke highly of the good development momentum of Sino-Canadian relations during a brief meeting with Chretien at the Great Hall of the People. He also appreciated what Chretien contributed to the growth of bilateral relationship between the two countries.

The former Canadian prime minister is currently visiting China as a guest of the China International Trust and Investment Corp. (CITIC).
