Landslide Kills 33 in Kyrgyzstan

At least 33 people were killed and 12 others injured in a landslide in southern Kyrgyzstan, Russian news agencies reported on Monday.

The Interfax News Agency reported the landslide took place near the village of Budalyk, about 700 km south of the capital Bishkek.

The landslide affected a dozen of houses, leaving six of them into ruins completely.

Landslides and avalanches are common in the country that is mostly covered by mountains.
