Four people were shot dead by gunmen at an opposition rally outside Dhaka on Friday, party source and police were quoted as saying.  

The one killed on the spot is a member of parliament -- Ahsanullah Master from the main opposition Awami League.

They were attending a rally of the party's labor wing in the industrial town of Tongi when over a dozen gunmen opened fire, they said.

The three others, also members of the party, died from bullet wounds on the way to the hospital, they added.
