The Press Office under the Ministry of Health published Saturday afternoon a press release on the latest SARS situation on the Chinese mainland.

From 10:00 am June 13 to 10:00 am June 14, the Chinese mainland reported no new diagnosed SARS case, 55 patients recovered and 2 deaths. Patients recovered included 50 from Beijing, 4 from Shanxi and 1 from Tianjin. The 2 deaths were from Beijing.

From 10:00 am June 13 to 10:00 am June 14, Chinese mainland reported 3 new suspected cases, of which, 2 were from Beijing and 1 from Guangdong.

From 10:00 am June 13 to 10:00 am June 14, the Chinese mainland also reported 70 misdiagnosed suspected cases, of which 69 were from Beijing and 1 from Guangdong. By 10:00 am June 14, the Chinese mainland had a total of 53 suspected cases.

Now 390 patients are receiving treatment in hospitals.

According to the statistics standard of WHO, by 10:00 am June 14, 3 provinces on the Chinese mainland had reported SARS cases.
