Suspected WWII Bomb Detonated in HK

Hong Kong police detonated a suspected World War II (WWII) bomb found by workers at a construction site on Wednesday afternoon, according to a report from the Hong Kong's CABLE TV.

The bomb, which was around 400 pounds (180 kg), was found by drainage workers at a construction site in North Point in the east of Hong Kong Island, the report said.

People in several buildings and two schools nearby were evacuated before the bomb disposal experts detonated the bomb through controlled explosions. No one was injured.

A Part of the road was cordoned off for several hours.
