Another 22 post offices to operate for the Games
Adjust font size:

China Banking Regularly Commission (CBRC) has authorized 22 new post offices to operate during the 2008 Olympic Games, a decision amid institutional reforms in post office banking functions.

A CBRC senior official said 19 post offices would be located near the Olympic venues and three in the neighboring traffic hubs. These outlets will be designated for the Olympic venues, convention center, media center, communities, etc. Each will cover an area of over 100 or 1,000 square meters with multiple services.

The Beijing Post will also renovate some 59 post offices in the Olympic central zone, downtown area, and in the neighborhood of the Olympic facilities to handle the possible boom in demand for postal services in 2008.
