Adjust font size:

More than 5,000 tickets for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games were booked this morning, China Central Television said today.

The second round of booking Olypmic tickets started today with about 1.85 million tickets up for sale.

"The tickets will be sold on a 'first-come, first-served' basis in this stage," Rong Jun, head of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games, said on Saturday.

Orders from Chinese mainland residents and foreigners living on the Chinese mainland can be processed on the Website www.tickets.Beijing2008.cn, at 1,000 designated domestic Bank of China branches or by phoning 95-2008.

Rong said that each person is allowed to buy a maximum of 50 tickets, but there is a limit of two tickets for high-demand events.
