First TV Series Appears on Mobile Phones

A new subscriber TV service for mobile phone users has been launched in Shanghai.

 

It's a joint project by Shanghai Mobile Communications Ltd and the Shanghai Media Group.

 

The short TV Series Xin Nian Xing Shi, tailored to a mobile phone-sized screen, has10 shows in all and each takes three minutes. It will be released one serial per day from February 5th to the 15th.

 

The series features a star-studded cast including many of Shanghai's famous hosts and hostesses, such as Dai Jun, Huang hao and Chen rong. Each one will present their own New Year story to the audience.

 

The series called for 500 pilot subscribers and soon whipped up a storm with the masses as a novel and fashionable new entertainment trend.
