An international forum and exposition on technological innovation in the information industry was inaugurated in Jinan, capital of Shandong Province, east China, Friday.
The gathering, which runs till October 21, is sponsored by several organizations from the United Nations and the Chinese government.
More than 5,000 delegates from over 20 countries and regions are attending the event which has the theme "Developing IT technology and promoting innovation and competitiveness".
A number of top international and domestic IT companies are exhibiting their products and new technologies.
