China has expanded its peaceful application of nuclear technology into wider areas such as industry, agriculture and medicine, which produced annual income of 15 billion yuan or about US$1.8 billion last year.
The State Atom Energy Agency says the country has 300 enterprises engaged in manufacturing and developing nuclear technology-related products.
The agency says in the future, China will focus on developing energy-saving technologies, environmental protection and development of life-science programs so as to fully optimize the technology.
