New Express Bus Popular in Shenzhen

The K568 express bus between Shenzhen Luo Railway Station and Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport has proved popular for Hong Kong travelers since it was launched July 1, Thursday's Daily Sunshine reported.

"We can take the shuttle and set out for the airport immediately after we come out of the Luohu Checkpoint," a Hong Kong man surnamed Lu was quoted as saying.

There was no bus between Luohu District and the airport before the K568 started running.

Bus 337, which runs between Luohu District and the airport, only stops at an intersection outside the airport, making it inconvenient for Luohu residents and Hong Kong people traveling on the Chinese mainland. All the buses in service are white luxury Toyota buses. The fleet has 20 express buses which leave every 10 minutes. It takes 55 minutes to reach the airport and the fare is 20 yuan (US$2.4).

Hundreds of people have been using the service each day since it was opened.
