Outbound Tourism Boost in Beijing

The number of tourists from Beijing traveling to overseas destinations has increased rapidly since the beginning of the summer.

Applications for exit visas have soared to 41,000 from June 26 to July 26, a 40 percent increase from the same period last year.

Nearly 70 percent of tourists from the Chinese capital have chosen to visit Hong Kong and Macao.
