500 Chinese Tourists to Spend Spring Festival in Egypt Pyramid

Some 500 Chinese tourists will spend the upcoming Spring Festival in Egypt, an Egyptian tourism official stationed in Beijing said on Wednesday.

On the eve of the Chinese Lunar New Year, these tourists from Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Shenyang, Chengdu and Kunming will gather at the biggest pyramid of Egypt, lighten red lanterns, and enjoy Chinese music and dance.

These Chinese people will pay to travel to another ancient civilized nation and celebrate their own traditional festival. It shows China's fast social and economic development, said Naser Abdel Aal, Egyptian tourism officer in China.
