109 Million Inbound Tourists Expected This Year

According to the China National Tourism Administration, in 2005, China's tourism industry was comprehensively revitalized and achieved breakthrough.

 

In 2005, total tourism revenue would reach 68.4 billion yuan. The number of inbound tourists for the first time exceeded 100 million, at 109 million.

 

The number of domestic tourists would be over one billion at 1.102 billion.

 

It is expected that China's inbound, overnight tourist would jump to the fourth place in the world, surpassing Italy. Its forex revenue from tourism would rise to the No.5 spot in the world, outranking Germany and UK.
