Several of the most popular tourism spots in Beijing will not be open to tourists this weekend.

Beijing-based website Qianlong reports that Badaling Great Wall, Juyongguan Great Wall, Badaling Safari World and the Ming Tombs will be closed on August 18 and 19, in order to guarantee a smooth performance of the 2007 International Road Cycling Invitation Race.

The cycling race is part of "Good Luck Beijing", a series of warm-up events held prior to the upcoming Beijing Olympics in 2008.
