Visitors to and local residents in northwest China's Gansu province are now able to enjoy the art and culture of Dunhuang Grottoes by dining at a local restaurant that offers a marvelous feast based on Dunhuang mural paintings.

According to Xinhuanet.com, what the restaurant offered Tuesday to its visitors were a series of "Dunhuang dishes" they cooked based on what Dunhuang's mural paintings have recorded.

The restaurant prepared their unique delicacies with all local food and ingredients, but have made them well mimicking Dunhuang's scenic spots, landscapes, mural paintings, folk lengends, and other stories that relate to the Dunhuang Grottoes.
