Long winters in northwestern China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region offer abundant opportunities for ice-related tourism.

China News Service reported that the inaugural ceremony for Xinjiang's ice-related tourism was held on Saturday in Urumchi. More than 210 ski runs and other facilities for ice-related activities are ready for use.
